Biography
Career Goals: Pharmacist
Tennis History and Highlights: I have been a part of Cal-Mum tennis since 7th grade, and a part of the varsity team since 8th grade. Placing 3rd in Section V class C sectionals twice and advancing to NY State qualifiers twice.
Favorite food: A juicy steak with potatoes.
Favorite Music group/performer: Kendrick Lamar
Favorite Athlete: Lionel Messi
Why choose Roberts: The Campus is close to home, an inviting atmosphere, and my selected major is here. I hope to improve as a player, help the team win matches, have a winning record, and play to the best of my ability.
What I look forward to the most about playing college tennis: The challenge, playing the game, and making new friends.
Parents and Siblings: David and Peggy Roll, Mark, Carolyn, Stephen, and Christopher. My father is a professor at Roberts (Mostly Biology and Chemistry), my brother Stephen is an alumni from Roberts, and used to play on the tennis team as well.
Coach Linhart comments: “Michael comes to us with a solid game and plenty of experience. I look forward to Michael contributing to our success this season. He is a hard worker and a fast learner. Often he is out before practice begins and stays after for more work. That kind of attitude is priceless and will definitely pay off this year.”
