Roberts Wesleyan Redhawks

Sophomore Abigail Barnard led the Roberts Women’s Bowling team to a seventh-place finish at the Purple Eagles Brunswick Spring Classic over the weekend at Niagara University. She averaged a 166.6 with a high score of 183 against Mercyhurst in the five-match traditional scoring matches Saturday. On Sunday in the Baker scoring matches, she led Roberts to a pair of wins with clutch bowling in the 10th frame. Against Daemen University in the position round of the tournament, Barnard rolled three strikes in the final frame of game two as Roberts came back for a 206-202 win in the second game of the best-of-seven match. She then recorded a spare and a strike in the 10th frame to give Roberts a 158-155 win in game four as Roberts took a 3-1 lead in the match and eventually won the match 4-2.
