Roberts Wesleyan College Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)

SAAC
A Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight into the student-athlete experience. One representative from each sport at Roberts Wesleyan College is a member of SAAC. The SAAC also offers input on the rules, regulations and policies that affect student-athletes' lives on NCAA member institution campuses. Topics of discussion could include academic concerns, community service opportunities, Make-A Wish fundraising opportunities and new NCAA legislation. The NCAA mandates that all member institutions have SAACs on their campuses. Further, NCAA legislation requires that allmember conferences have SAACs.

Purpose of SAAC
Generate a student-athlete voice within the institution
Solicit student-athlete response to proposed NCAA legislation
Suggest potential NCAA legislation
Organize community service efforts
Create a vehicle for student-athlete representation on campus-wide orconference-wide committees

Division II National SAAC Mission Statement
