Nicholas Grunert

Nic Grunert joined the Roberts Wesleyan College Swimming and Diving program in 2018. Prior to coaching at Roberts the last four years, Nic has six years of competitive swimming experience and has taught swimming at all levels for the past 11 years. Alongside coaching at Roberts, he currently works with the aquatics program at Midtown Athletic club as an Aquatics Coach for competitive swimmers.  

Although Nic’s coaching resume is in its beginning phases, he is no stranger to the pool deck. Nic brings a lot of management experience to the team.  He has a lot of swimming knowledge and is passionate about developing athletes into young well-rounded professionals. He really enjoys teaching the breaststroke and front crawl.

Nic graduated from Roberts Wesleyan University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Management and Social Entrepreneurship. In 2021 Nic earned a Certificate of Graduate Study in Sustainable Enterprise from the University of Vermont and is currently enrolled in the MBA program at Rochester Institute of Technology. He works full time in University Advancement at RIT. When out of work you can see him on his bike around the Canal, finding good restaurants around the city, or on his Jetski! Currently, he resides in downtown Rochester.
