AMHERST, N.Y. (October 14, 2011) - The Men's Soccer team defeated the Daemen College Wildcats 3-1 this evening in a dramatic conference match-up.
The Raiders were down 1-0 after the Wildcats' Camilo Villegas scored an unassited goal in the 61st minute.
The lead would last for only twelve minutes when
Johnny Lobene scored in the 73rd minute from the top of the 18-yard box to tie the score 1-1.
Just two minutes later, the Raiders struck again when
Dominic Coco found the back of the net to give the visitors a 2-1 lead.
A minute later, the Raiders sealed the vitcory with a goal from
Brent Owens.
Lobene finished the game with a goal and two assists to lead the Raiders who are now 7-6-1 and 5-1-0 in the American Mideast Conference.
The team is home tomorrow afternoon at 3pm as they take on Point Park University. The Pioneers are 9-2-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the conference.
