NORTH CANTON, Ohio (November 12, 2011) – The Women's Basketball team defeated the Cedarville University Yellowjackets 80-69 this afternoon in the Walsh University Classic.
The Raiders were led by Linsday Kendall and
Bianca Jones who each finished with a double-double.
Kendall led all scorers with 23 points, going 2 for 5 from the three-point line and 7-14 overall. Kendall also led with 13 rebounds as eight came on the defensive boards.
Jones finished the game with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
The Raiders outscored the Yellowjackets 44-27 in the second half after trailing at the half, 42-36.
The Raiders out rebounded the Yellowjackets 50 to 44.
The win moves the Raiders to 2-2 on the season.
The team is back in action this Friday and Saturday in the Houghton College Turkey Shootout. The Raiders face SUNY Cobleskill at 2pm on Friday.
