Pittsburgh, Pa. (November 5th, 2011) - The Men's Soccer team won the American Mideast Conference title this afternoon against Point Park University, 1-0.
The game's lone goal came from junior Donovan Wilson in the 22nd minute off a free kick from 45 yards out.
Andrew Vanderhoof and
Hayden Hoebeke earned the assists on the play. The goal is Wilson's thrid of the season.
Raiders goalkeeper
Eric Read earned the shut-out after making three saves in the game.
The Raiders put six shots-on-goal to the Pioneers three. The Pioneers edged the Raiders in corner kicks 3 to 2.
The Raiders will now face Asbury University, the winner of the Kentucky Intercollegiate Confrence, next Saturday in North Canton, Ohio for a berth in the NAIA National Tournament.
