FLUSHING, N.Y. (October 12, 2012) – The Men's soccer team picked up their third straight win by taking down Queens College 3-2 in thrilling fashion.

The Redhawks got on the board first when Alex Harling scored his first goal of the season after slotting the ball home by beating the Knights' goalkeeper Sean Geoghegan in the 32nd minute.

Queens would respond quickly when Alexander Schweitzer sent one to the back of the net to tie it up at 1-1 just four minutes later.

Coming out of the break, the visitors regained the lead when Michael Cunningham scored on a breakaway to lift the Redhawks to a 2-1 lead in the 52nd minute.

That score would hold until Danny Stoker converted a penalty kick with just under five minutes remaining to tie the game for the second time. However, the Redhawks would respond with less than two minutes left on the clock.

In the 89th minute, Matthew Hohler scored his second goal of the season after Jake Zito chipped the ball into the center of the box, finding Hohler who sent it home for the game-winner.  Both of Hohler's goals have been of the game-winning variety.

The win lifts the Redhawks to 6-7 overall and 3-3 in the East Coast Conference.

The team is off tomorrow before traveling to Connecticut to take on the University of Bridgeport on Sunday at 5pm.
