Men's Soccer Falls to Houghton, 1-0

HOUGHTON, N.Y. (October 2, 2012) – The Men's Soccer team continued their road woes this evening, falling 1-0 to Houghton College.
 
The Redhawks struggled to find their offense as they were able to take just seven shots in the game. None of the shots were a challenge to the Highlanders' goalkeeper Tyler Mastin, who didn't need to make a save in the game.
 
The lone goal came from Houghton's Michael Amico in the 79th minute, breaking the stalemate.
 
Michael Scavone was called upon to make six saves in the game as Houghton pelted the Redhawks defense with 14 shots on the night.
 
The loss drops the Redhawks road record to 0-4 and are now 3-7-0 overall on the season.
 
The team will look to bounce back this Friday when they visit East Coast Conference foes Dowling College at 7pm.
