ROCHESTER, N.Y. (October 20, 2012) – The Men's Soccer team picked up their first draw of the season with a 1-1 tie against the visiting St. Thomas Aquinas College Spartans this evening.

After a scoreless first half, senior Donavan Wilson gave the Redhawks the lead in the 49th minute by using his head to send the ball past Spartans' goalkeeper Andrew Tartara in a crowd after a corner kick was sent in from Michael Cunningham. Wilson's goal was his first of the season.

Less than ten minutes later, the Spartans would equalize after Daniel Davren converted a penalty kick to score his 12th goal of the season, making it a 1-1 game.

As the game went on, both teams had good looks, but were unable to score a game winner.

With the draw, the Redhawks are now 6-8-1 overall and 3-4-1 in the East Coast Conference.

The team is off until next Sunday when they host the University of the District of Columbia at 2pm.
