HOUGHTON, N.Y. (November 16, 2012) – The Men's Soccer team defeated Nyack College, 3-1, in the NCCAA East Region semifinals this evening on the campus of Houghton College.

The Redhawks, who fell to the Warriors in their season opener in August, were led by senior Donavan Wilson.  The forward scored two goals in the final 23 minutes to secure the win for the #2 seed.

Nyack would get on the scoreboard first when Justin Gabrielle sent one to the back of the net in the 15th minute.

In the second half, the Redhawks would even the score with a goal from junior Alex Harling in the 62nd minute. Wilson would then give Roberts Wesleyan the lead just five minutes later.

With time winding down, Wilson gave the Redhawks some breathing room with his second goal and the teams' third to secure the win.

The Redhawks will face Geneva (Pa.) College tomorrow at 4:30pm in Houghton for a bid to the NCCAA National Tournament.
