NYACK, N.Y. (September 1, 2012) – The Men's Soccer team lost a close game this afternoon to Bloomsburg (Pa.) University, 3-2 in overtime, at the Nyack Invitational.
Freshman midfielder
Brandon Bianchi continued his hot start to the season by scoring both goals for the Redhawks. Bianchi has scored all three goals for Roberts Wesleyan, which falls to 0-2 after the first weekend of the season.

th minute after sending home a one-time shot, sending it past Redhawks; goalie
Michael Scavone.
The Redhawks would respond with just 14 seconds remaining in the first half when Bianchi and fellow freshman
Tedroy Jackson played give-and-go, resulting in Bianchi blasting home a grounder near the left post.
The Huskies would regain the lead when Michael Del Sordi scored with less than five minutes into the second half after connecting on a pass from Wes Krammer.
Bianchi then tied the game up at 2-2 with just ten minutes left to play after converting the Redhawks' first penalty kick opportunity of the season.
Eight minutes into overtime, it would be the Huskies who found the back of the net when Anthony Manero scored off a header from a ball sent in from Miguel Diaz to win the game.
In goal, Scavone was able to put his hands on five balls, giving him nine saves through to games this season.
Bianchi wraps up the first weekend of his college career with three goals off of just six shots, with four shots being on frame.
The Redhawks are back in action this Wednesday when they host former American Mideast Conference rivals, Point Park University at 4:30pm.
