Men's Soccer: Redhawks Pick Up Win at Home

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (September 12, 2012) – The Men's Soccer team picked up a 1-0 win against the visiting Daemen College Wildcats this evening in non-conference action.

Stephen Stewart scored the lone goal of the game in the 24th minute when he slotted the ball past Daemen's goalkeeper Matt Daddario from 15 yards out. The goal was Stewart first goal of the season.

With the shutout, Michael Scavone has not allowed a goal in 180 minutes after making three saves against a Daemen side that put up 11 shots.

Things got chippy late in the game as Neil Bandinelli and Robert Ralyea both picked up yellow cards for Daemen in the 80th minute.

With the win, the Redhawks are now 2-2-0 as they prepare to travel to Cedarville (Ohio) University this Saturday. The Yellowjackets come into the game undefeated at 6-0-0.
