Men's Soccer Look to Get Back on Track, Host Buffalo State Tonight

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (September 26, 2012) – The Men's Soccer team hosts Buffalo State this evening in non-conference action as they look to get back into the win column after suffering consecutive one-goal conference losses.

The game against the Bengals is scheduled for 7pm.

SCOUTING ROBERTS WESLEYAN (2-5-0/0-2-0 ECC)
The Redhawks narrowly fell to the #3 ranked LIU-Post Pioneers on Sunday by the score of 3-2. Senior Brent Owens gave the visitors the lead in the ninth minute before allowing three Pioneers goals before Michael Cunningham scored in the 83rd minute to make things interesting.

Cunningham now leads the Redhawks with seven points (3 goals, 1 assist) through the first seven games of the season.

SCOUTING BUFFALO STATE (1-6-1/0-1-1 SUNYAC)
The Bengals have struggled to find their offense this season, averaging just one goal per game. The team's lone victory came on September 12 when they took down D'Youville 5-1.

Leading the way for Buffalo State is C.J. Scrito who leads the team with five points (2 goals, 1 assist). Chris Haney and Jake Reed also have four points for the Bengals.

Despite the lack of offensive power, Buffalo State has had a solid defense by holding their opponents to just 1.88 goals per game.
