ROCHESTER, N.Y. (September 30, 2012) – The Women's Tennis team closed out the conference portion of their fall schedule with a 6-3 win over the visiting Molloy College Golden Lions this afternoon.
Tina Miller led the Redhawks by defeating Nikkie Gloira (6-3, 6-0) in first singles after teaming up with
Meg Kelly at second doubles to down Molloy's Danielle Byrnes and Nikkie Gloria.
Kelly also won both of her matches by winning at fourth singles, winning 6-0, 6-1 against the Golden Lions' Gabrielle DiCroce.
The win improves the Redhawks record to 4-3 in the East Coast Conference and 6-6 overall.
The Redhawks currently sit in fourth place in the East Coast Conference standings, but are not eligible for the conference tournament as Roberts Wesleyan is still in the NCAA Division II membership process.
Up next for the Redhawks is a match against SUNY Fredonia on Wednesday (Oct. 3) at 4pm.
