ROCHESTER, New York (Spetember 5, 2012) The Roberts Redhawks delivered big in their home opener this afternoon defeating Point Park 3-0 for their first win of the season.
Sophomore
Matthew Hohler started the scoring off in the 42nd minute, putting one past the Point Park goalie giving the Redhawks a 1-0 lead at half.
Sophomore
Ricky DiPasquale added another goal for the Redhawks in the 53
rd minute sending a long ball sailing over the head of Park Point's goalie.
And sophomore
Michael Cunningham rounded off the night's score, sinking one in the lower corner after juking the defense.
In goal,
Michael Scavone succeeded in obtaining the first shutout of the season.
With the win, the Redhawks are now 1-2 for the season and will continue their success when they host Daemen College next Wednesday at 7pm.
