ROCHESTER, N.Y. (October 2, 2013) – The Women's Tennis team moved one step closer to advancing to the NCCAA National Championships yesterday afternoon.
With the 9-0 win at home over Houghton College in the opening NCCAA East Regional, the Redhawks now need to win at Geneva (Pa.) College this Friday.
Tina Miller won at first singles by downing the Highlanders' Bethany Chesebro 6-1, 6-0 after winning at first doubles with
Fatima Ouattara.
The match was the first meeting between the two programs as Houghton is a first-year program.
Roberts Wesleyan improves to 8-2 overall with the win.
