ROCHESTER, N.Y. (October 23, 2013) – The Women's Tennis team closed out their fall schedule with a 5-2 loss to the visiting Firebirds of the University of the District of Columbia yesterday afternoon.
Fatima Ouattara won at third singles for Roberts Wesleyan after she downed Maxime Duijst 6-1, 6-3. The transfer has been a bright spot for the Redhawks this season as she has compiled an impressive 6-2 conference record.

Kaitlynn Zaffuto picked up a hard fought win against the Firebirds' Sofia Leon 6-4, 1-6, 10-4 at sixth singles.
The match ended early as the weather became a factor with temperature dipping below the required 50 degree mark.
With the loss, the Redhawks sit at fourth place in the East Coast Conference standing and are 10-3 overall. Next season, the team will be eligible to compete in the conference tournament, which involves the top four teams in the standings.
After their winter break, Roberts Wesleyan will travel south to take on Philadelphia University on Feb. 28 to begin their spring schedule.
