Women's Basketball Takes on Nazareth in Wendy's College Classic First Round

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (December 2, 2013) – The Women's Basketball team earned the top seed in the eight-team Wendy's College Classic and will take on Nazareth College in the opening round game on Tuesday at 8pm at Nazareth.

The Redhawks, who are 2-1 on the season, have four players averaging 12.3 points per game or better with sophomore Samantha Courtney leading the way with an average of 14.0 points per game.

Junior forward Marissa Sell is averaging a double-double with 12.3 points and 12.3 rebounds per game for Roberts Wesleyan.

The Golden Flyers are 2-2 through four games and are led by senior Lindsay Kelly, who is scoring 16.8 points per game. The center is nearly averaging a double-double with 9.5 rebound per game.

The winner will advance to the semifinals, which will be held at Roberts Wesleyan against the winner of the William Smith College/St. John Fisher College game on Thursday at 8pm.

The loser will play in the first of two consolation games the Rochester Institute of Technology on Thursday at 6pm
