Box Score Flushing N.Y. (December 20, 2013) – The Women's Basketball Team fell to Queens College this evening, 55-69,  in conference play. This is the third straight loss for the women's team, all of which were on the road.
Roberts ended the first half trailing Queens  26 -41. The Redhawks had a better second half shooting 48% from the field, over Queens' 31%, but in the end they were unable to close the gap. The Redhawks trailed throughout the game.  With 5:22 left in the game
Chelsea Sanders was fouled on a lay-up, and was able to convert the three point play cutting the lead to 8. Queen's then   went on an 8 – 0 run to stifle Robert's chance for a comeback.

The Redhawks got into foul trouble, with two players accumulating 5 personal fouls. This gave Queens an advantage as 21 of their points came from free throws. They nearly doubled Robert's free throw attempts. Roberts also suffered 23 turnovers.

Chelsea Sanders, 17 points and 7 rebounds, and Â
Marissa Sell notching a double- double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Sell currently leads the ECC rebounds per game.    Madison Rowland of Queens led the game in scoring with 23 points. Â
With this loss, Roberts drops to 5-4 overall and 1-3 in the ECC. As a team, The Redhawks were 22- 52 from the field, 2-11 for three pointers and 9 -16 on the free throw line
Roberts is on the road again, they play Molloy College this Sunday December 22 at 12pm, where they look to give Molloy their first loss in the ECC.
