Women's Basketball Falls to Dowling On The Road

OAKDALE, N.Y. (February 11, 2013) – The Women's Basketball team fell to No. 21 Dowling College this evening, 43-68.

The Redhawks struggled for find their rhythm on offense to start the game, needing nearly five minutes to score their first point of the contest.

As the game wore on, the visitors were unable to find an answer to the Golden Lions' Danielle Wilson. The senior scored 16 points to go along with 15 rebounds, both of which were game highs.

Sophomore Marissa Sell led the Redhawks with eight points and a team high 13 rebounds as freshman Samantha Courtney finished with a team-high nine points.

As a team, the Redhawks shot just 26.1% from the field compared to Dowling's 40.0% field goal shooting.

The loss drops the Redhawks back to .500 at 11-11 on the season and 6-9 in ECC play.

On Saturday, Roberts Wesleyan hosts Molloy College at 2pm in the Voller Athletic Center.
