Box Score (XML)

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (March 23, 2013) – The Women's Lacrosse team fell to Mercy College, 17-10, in their first ever conference game this afternoon.

After trailing 8-4 at halftime, Roberts Wesleyan made things interesting  by cutting the Mavericks lead to just three when Kelsey Covel scored to make it a 10-7 game at the 24:18 mark.

That would be as close as the visitors would get as Mercy scored five of the next six goals to take control of the game.
Loren Dun scored a game-high four goals off of five shots, including one free-position goal.

Both Alison Kendall and Ali Fox scored a pair of goals with each player recording an assist.  Kendall also won a team-high four draw controls.

In goal, freshman Victoria Link tied a program record after making 14 saves for the Redhawks. Link played all 60 minutes, facing 39 shots.

The loss drops the Redhawks to 4-3 and 0-1 in the East Coast Conference.

Roberts Wesleyan is off until Thursday when they host Wells College in non-conference play. Game-time is set for 4pm.
