ROCHESTER, N.Y. (March 5, 2013) – The Women's Basketball team host Houghton College in the NCCAA East Region final Wednesday evening at 6pm. The winner of the game advances to the NCCAA National Tournament, which is scheduled for Mar. 13-16 at Grace College in Winona Lake, Ind.

Tickets to the game are $3 at the door and are valid for both the women's game at 6pm and the men's game, which follows at 8pm. Roberts Wesleyan College/Northeastern Seminary faculty, staff, and students are free with a valid College ID.
SCOUTING ROBERTS WESLEYAN (14-12/8-10 ECC)
The Redhawks upset No. 23 New York Institute of Technology, 58-57, on Saturday at home to close out the regular season on a high note. Sophomore forward
Marissa Sell led the way with game-highs of 24 points and 13 rebounds. Sell also hit the winning jumper with just 20 seconds remaining.
Sell leads Roberts Wesleyan by averaging a double-double with 11.8 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. The sophomore also leads the Redhawks in total points (236) despite missing six games this season.
Senior
Marissa Bunce has been an effective distributor from the guard position this season. Bunce is just eight assists shy of the century mark and is averaging 3.5 assists per game.
SCOUTING HOUGHTON (10-15/5-11 E8)
Houghton completed their inaugural Empire 8 (NCAA Division III) season with 5-11 record and finished the season 10-15. Despite the record, the Highlanders played games close as their scoring margin was just -4.4 points through 25 games.
On offense, the Highlanders are led by junior Kristen Moose. The guard finished the regular season with an average of 16.8 points per game after shooting 38.6% from the field and a solid 87.8% from the free-throw line.
Moose, who missed eight games this season, also leads the team in rebounding with an average of 7.5 rebounds per game. Freshman Maisie Pipher, a forward, leads the team with 172 total rebounds and is second on the team with 6.9 rebounds per game.
UP NEXT
The winner of the game will receive the East Region's automatic qualifying bid to the NCCAA National Tournament, which is held on the campus of Grace College in Winona Lake, Ind. The eight team tournament runs Mar. 13 through the 16.
