ROCHESTER, N.Y. (March 6, 2013) – The Women's Basketball team won the NCCAA East Region championship this evening, defeating Houghton College, 91-56.
By winning the game, Roberts Wesleyan advances to their third NCCAA National Tournament in the last four season.
The win also gives the Redhawks their first East Region title since the 2007-08 season.
Sophomore forward
Marissa Sell led the team with a game-high 20 points while senior guard
Marissa Bunce added 17 points (15 came in the form of three-pointers).
The win improves the Redhawks to 15-12 overall.
Roberts Wesleyan will now wait to find out their seeding in the competitive eight team tournament which
