Men's Soccer Falls to Buffalo State, 2-1

BUFFALO, N.Y. (September 11, 2013) – The Men's Soccer team fell on the road to Buffalo State this afternoon, 2-1.

The home-standing Bengals drew first when Keegan Lezama sent a shot from eight yards out to the inside of the left post with a minute remaining in the first half.

Roberts Wesleyan responded after the break, with Taiwo Aderounmu hit a one-timer off of a corner kick in the 57th minute.

Buffalo State then scored the go-ahead goal in the 66th minute with Francesco Cardillo knocked in a rebound off of a muffed ball by the Redhawks' goalkeeper, Stephen Buscagli.

The visitors outshot the Bengals 15 to 13, putting seven shots on frame.

With the loss, Roberts Wesleyan falls to 0-2-1.

The team will look to pick up their first win of the season when they travel to Le Moyne College on Tuesday, Sep. 17.
