Women's Lacrosse Falls To Belmont Abbey 18 - 7

Belmont, NC (February 19, 2014) – The Women's Lacrosse team fell on the road to Belmont Abbey this afternoon.

The Redhawks took an early lead when Cassley Jackowski scored two minutes into the game off a free position shot. Things quickly went downhill as the Redhawks ended the half with only 2 points to Belmonts 9.  Jackowski scored both of Roberts goals in the first half, and ended the match with a total of 3 goals.  

The second half was an improvement for the Redhawks they were able to put away 5 goals. 3 goals came from Allison Kendal who had a 100% shooting percentage for the game.

Roberts totaled 16 shots and forced Belmont's goalie to make 4 saves.  Roberts goalie Victoria Link was challenged with 29 shots from Belmont's offense she recorded 3 saves.

Ali Fox recorded 1 goal in the second half she won 4 of Roberts 10 Draw controls.

The loss puts Roberts at 1-2 for the season.

Women's Lacrosse has their first home game this weekend February 22 against Notre Dame at 4pm
