Women's Lacrosse Falls to No. 5 Le Moyne at Home

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (March 17, 2014) – The Women's Lacrosse team fell 20-8 this afternoon at home to the Le Moyne College Dolphins.
 
The visitors shot out to a 7-0 lead before freshman Cassley Jackowski put Roberts Wesleyan on the board at the 16:52 mark. In all, Jackowski scored four goals to lead the Redhawks, improving her season tally to 36 goals.
 
After Le Moyne scored two additional goals, Roberts Wesleyan used goals from Ali Fox, Jackowski, and Alison Kendall to make the score 9-4, however that was as close as they would come.
 
Over the next 20 minutes, the fifth-ranked Dolphins scored eight unanswered to pull away and earn the win.
 
Fox added two goals for the Redhawks off of just two shots while Kendall and Loren Dunn each added a goal apiece.
 
For the Dolphins, Victoria Nies scored a game-high five goals off of six shots.
 
Goalkeeper Victoria Link made 10 saves for Roberts Wesleyan after facing a total of 38 shots.
 
With the loss, Roberts Wesleyan falls to 3-6 overall as they continue non-conference action Wednesday, March 26 when they host Tiffin (Ohio) University at 4pm.
