Women's Basketball Drops to St Thomas Aquinas in Last Regular Season Game

Sparkill, N.Y. (March 2, 2014) – The Women's basketball team dropped in their last season game to St Thomas Aquinas College this afternoon in conference play.  The final score was 39-58.

The Redhawks started out with an early lead when Chelsea Sanders converted a 3 point play after she was fouled shooting a jumper. She would end with a team high 14 points and 7 rebounds.  The lead was quickly lost and Roberts would never hold the lead again, but they would tie St Thomas Aquinas  3 times in a back and forth battle of a first half that ended 21-23.

The second half slipped away from Roberts as they would trail the entire time. The Redhawks struggled from the field shooting just 19%

Marissa Sell had a team high 14 rebounds and added 9 points.  Carneisha Henry Helped defensively posting 8 rebounds.

The Redhawks ended their regular season 14-12 and 10-10 in the ECC.  The Redhawks look to participate in the NCCAA National Championship tournament later in the month.
