Women's Lacrosse Downed by St. Thomas Aquinas

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (April 12, 2014) – The Women's Lacrosse team fell to St. Thomas Aquinas College, 16-7, this afternoon in East Coast Conference action.

Freshman attacker Cassley Jackowski put the Redhawks up early, scoring the game's first goal just 30 seconds in, but the Spartans scored seven straight to take a commanding lead.

Jackowski, who now has 57 goals on the year, scored a total of five goals for Roberts Wesleyan.

Both Alison Kendall and Loren Dunn rounded out the scoring for the Redhawks as they each scored once.

St. Thomas Aquinas used several players on offense as Samantha Lowney scored five goals while three additional players scored three times each.

Neither team found success in free-position shots as the Redhawks finished the game 2 of 9 while St. Thomas Aquinas went 1 of 7.

In goal, Victoria Link had nine saves while Paige Higgins earned one save in relief.

The loss puts Roberts Wesleyan at 5-9 overall and 2-3 in the ECC. They are back in action  next weekend when they travel to Molloy College on Friday, April 18 before heading to Queens College the following day.
