ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. (April 18, 2014) – The Women's Lacrosse team fell this afternoon to Molloy College, 19-13, on the road in an East Coast Conference match-up.

The Redhawks scored first on an unassisted goal from Alison Kendall less than three minutes into the game, but allowed Molloy to score five unanswered goals later in the half as the Lions pulled ahead to make it a 9-5 game.

After going into halftime trailing 10-5, Cassley Jackowksi scored twice in the first five minutes of the second half to make it 10-7. However, the home-standing Lions then scored seven of the next nine goals to pull away for good.

The Redhawks did manage to finish the game strong, scoring four of the last six goals, but it was just too late in the game to make enough difference.

Jackowski, a freshman, paced the visitors with two goals and three assists as Kendall finished the game with a team-high four goals.

Junior Marissa Sell also had two goals as she won four draw controls for the Redhawks.

Molloy was led by Samantha Arlotta's six goals as two other players scored four times.

The loss drops Roberts Wesleyan to 5-10 overall and 2-4 in conference play. The team has a quick turnaround as they visit Queens College tomorrow afternoon for 4pm game.
