Women's Lacrosse Notches Road Win at Queens

Flushing, N.Y. (April 19, 2014) - The Women's Lacrosse team beat out Queens College this afternoon in conference play.

The Redhawks defeated Queens 14 to 6. Roberts Dominated in the first half. The first goal came only second into the game by junior Marissa Sell, she would end the game with 2 goals for her team. Loren Dunn had a great game, scoring game high 4 goals. 

Sophomore Ali Fox Worked behind the scenes with a game high 6 assists, 4 of which came in the first half. Fox also scored 2 goals for the Redhakws.
In the second half, Roberts allowed Queens to bring the deficit down to a 2 point game. Sell scored the first Roberts goal of the second half to end Queens 5-0 run.

The Redhawks then dominated the later of the second half. Other goal scorers include sophomore Kelsey Covel with 3, Cassley Jackowsdi with 2 goals and Alison Kendall scored one goal for the Redhawks.

Defensively Goal keeper  Victoria Link made 7 saves.  As a team the Redhawks almost tripled their shots on goal as Queens.

The Win puts Roberts at 6-10 and 3-4 in the ECC.

The Redhawks play again this upcoming Saturday April, 26 at home at 12pm
