ROCHESTER, N.Y. (April 25, 2014) – The Women's Tennis team won on their Senior Day, defeating Rochester Institute of Technology, 6-3, yesterday afternoon.
In doubles action,
Tina Miller and
Fatima Ouattara earned a 8-4 win at first doubles as
Kaitlynn Zaffuto and
Emily Linhart came out on top 8-5 at third doubles.
Ouattara was a double winner for Roberts Wesleyan as she picked up a win at third singles by defeating the Tigers' Elizabeth McGrail 6-0, 6-3.
At fifth singles, Zaffuto defeated Paige Baker in a hard-fought match 6-4, 6-3.
The win closes out the regular season for the Redhawks, who improved to 16-5 overall. They will now set their sights on the NCCAA National Championships, which take place May 6-9 in Mobile, Ala.
