Women's Lacrosse Flies by District of Columbia

Rochester, N.Y. (April 6, 2014)
– The Women's Lacrosse team had a landslide win against conference competitors District of Columbia. 20-2.

Districk of Columbia played down a player the entire game due to injuries giving Roberts a natural advantage. Roberts absolutely dominated the play. With less than 30 seconds into the game freshman Cassley Jackowski scored Roberts first goal. She would have a game high, 6 goals and 3 assists. Jackowski currently leads the ECC in scoring.  A total of 9 Roberts players contributed to Roberts 20 points.

Loren Dunn and Ali Fox each had 3 goals for Roberts with 1 an 3 assists respectively. Lauren Marks posted 2 goals for the Redhawks and Senior Alison Kendall put down 1 goal and 2 assists.

As  a team Roberts won 19 of the 24 Draw controls and went a perfect 8 for 8 with clears. The Redhawks had an impressive 71% shooting percentage scoring 20 of their 28 shots.

The Redhawks scored 16 of their goals in the first half, and allowed one goal per half from the Firebirds.
 
The win puts the Redhawks at 5-8 and 2-2 in the ECC. They play St Thomas Aquinas at home next weekend April 12th at 3pm.
