BUFFALO, N.Y. (April 8, 2014) – The Women's Tennis team played their way to a 9-0 win over Daemen College in a non-conference match this afternoon.
Playing at the Miller Tennis Center, the Redhawks cruised in the three doubles matches by holding the Wildcats to just one point through all three matches.
At first singles,
Tina Miller earned a hard fought victory over Daemen's Hayle Scanlan 6-4, 6-4.
Maria Jimenez also had a bit of a challenge at second doubles, but manged to come out on top by downing Shaylah Iverson 6-3, 6-2.
Both
Fatima Ouattara and
Camilla Linhart earned shutout wins at third and fourth singles respectively.
With the win, Roberts Wesleyan improved to 13-5 overall as they prepare to take on the Rochester Institute of Technology this Thursday at 4pm.
