Easton Ma. (September 12, 2014) - The Men's Soccer team tied Stonehill College 1-1 this afternoon in a non conference match up.
The game started out scoreless after the first half. Roberts Wesleyan broke through early in the second half. Freshman
Michael McGinnis scored off a corner from
Michael Cunningham. This is Cunningham's fourth assist in four games. Stonehill peppered Roberts Wesleyan's defense with nine shots to the Redhawks two. The Skyhawks evened the score  with only 16 minutes left in the game off a through ball into the box where a Stonehill forward finished a shot 14 yards out.
In regular time, Stonehill took 16 shots to Roberts Wesleyan's 11, forcing goalie
Michael Scavone to make 6 saves.
Through two overtime periods, Â Roberts Wesleyan and Stonehill remained in a tie. The Redhawks out shot Stonehill in the overtime six to zero.
The tie gives the Redhawks a record of 2-0-2 into their last game before conference play.
 Roberts Wesleyan plays Assumption College away this Sunday September 14th at 12pm.
