BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Sep. 5, 2014) – The Women's Tennis team dropped their season opener at conference foes LIU Post, 5-4, this afternoon.

Roberts Wesleyan's
Tina Miller and
Natalia Cardona teamed up at second doubles to earn a narrow 9-8 (7-5) victory while the team also earned a forfeit win at third doubles.

The Pioneers were dominant in singles play, picking up four of a possible six points. However,
Camilla Linhart managed to come out on top at fifth singles by defeating LIU Post's Meagan Byrne 6-2, 6-2.

The team will look to rebound on Saturday when they continue East Coast Conference play at the New York Institute of Technology at 10am.
