ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Roberts Wesleyan women's basketball continued their undefeated run to start the season with a narrow win over Le Moyne Tuesday evening.
Sophomore guard
Lucy Covley led the Redhawks with her double-double effort, scoring a game-high 22 points and 12 rebounds.
With the win, the Redhawks can claim their best start to a season after going 4-0 in the 2010-11 and 2005-06 seasons.

How it Happened:After shooting out to an 18-5 lead after the first 10 minutes, the visiting Dolphins chipped away at Roberts Wesleyan's lead, eventually tying the game early in the fourth quarter.
However, the Redhawks managed to go on a quick 10-0 run in less than two minutes with just 5:31 remaining to hold on the lead down the stretch.

Key Stat:Despite giving turning the ball over 22 times, Roberts Wesleyan used their strong long range shooting to take the win, hitting 8 of 16 from three-point range.

Inside the Numbers:- Roberts Wesleyan shot an even 50 percent from beyond the arc while shooting an impressive 52.2 percent from the field.
- Le Moyne saw their bench score 18 points while limiting the Redhawks' bench to just three points.

"Covley's" Impact:The sophomore got hot from distance in the fourth quarter, hitting fourth three-pointers to help Roberts Wesleyan earn the hard-fought victory. Her double-double effort was the first of the season for the versatile guard.

Up Next: Roberts Wesleyan is off until next week's Wendy's College Classic. The first round of the local tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 1 with the opponent and location to be announced this coming Sunday.
