ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Roberts Wesleyan women's basketball picked up their first-ever East Coast Conference tournament win with a 54-38 triumph over Molloy in the second quarterfinal Wednesday evening.
Senior forward
Samantha Courtney led all scorers with 20 points while earning the double-double after grabbing 13 rebounds for the Redhawks. Courtney also recorded two assists and a pair of blocked shots.
How It HappenedLeading 29-20 with four minutes remaining in the third quarter, the No. 4-seeded Redhawks put the game away by going on a 12-0 run that stretched for more than six minutes.
Key StatBoth teams struggled to make their shots fall in the game as Roberts Wesleyan shot just 29.4 percent from the field as the visiting Lions ended the game at 23.1 percent. The two teams were a combined 5 of 42 from beyond the arc.

th double-double of the season with the 20-points and 13-rebound effort. It was also the eighth time she has scored 20 or more points.
Courtney was a solid 4 of 5 at the line while making 8 of 19 from the field. On the boards, five of her 13 rebounds came on the offensive glass.
