Women's Lacrosse Gets Past District of Columbia

Roberts Wesleyan earned a 20-3 win in their home finale of the season against the Firebirds

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Roberts Wesleyan women's lacrosse stormed past East Coast Confeernce foes District of Columbia Thursday afternoon 20-3 in their the last home game of the season.

A total of nine Redhawks scored with goals coming early and often. Loren Dunn led the team with six goals as Cassley Jackowski scored four times. Ali Fox  added three goal and Harmony Dionne had two goals with Lauren Marks, Johannah Price, Megan Burnham, Maddi Chille, and Kelsey Covel all finding the back of the net once.

Turning Point
The Redhawks scored often with goalkeeper Shannon Knapp posting a shutout through the first half. The visiting Firebirds scored their first goal in the second half by way of Aaliyah Carter.

Individual Leaders
- Dunn led the Redhawks with six goals, six grondballs, and two caused turnovers.
- Jackowski had four goals and four assists in the game for the Redhawks.
- Mackenzie Dude, along with Fox and Dunn tallied two caused turnovers.

Inside the Box Score
- Roberts Wesleyan had 11 caused turnovers in the win, a season-high.
- The Redhawks  also won 12 out of 20 draw controls.

News & Notes
- Women's lacrosse now leads the short series history 3-0.
- Knapp ranks No. 8 in the nation in saves per game while also leading the East Coast Conference.
