Women's Basketball Falls to Southern New Hampshire

Box Score Manchester, N.H. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's basketball team fell to Southern New Hampshire University on Tuesday night, 71-77.
 
The Redhawks looked strong right from the tip-off taking a quick 11-0 lead just four minutes into the game, but the Penmen answered with an 11-0 run for themselves to tie the score. The quarter would finish with Roberts holding a 17-16 advantage.
 
Following a back and forth second quarter the Redhawks began to lose ground coming out of halftime as Southern New Hampshire built a 15 point lead late in the third quarter. The Penmen controlled the glass outrebounding Roberts 51-29 in the game including 22 offensive boards that gave the host team 21 second chance points.
 
Taya Andrews had 17 points and Brooke Fields scored 16 to lead Roberts Wesleyan scoring effort.
 
Southern New Hampshire was led by Kylie Lorenzen's double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
 
Roberts (9-7, 3-3 ECC) will be back in action on Saturday as they host the New York Institute of Technology at 2 p.m. in the Voller Athletic Center.
