Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

STAC Edges Redhawks, 1-0

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – An early goal was the difference in a 1-0 loss to Saint Thomas Aquinas on Saturday as the Redhawks' men's soccer team dropped its third straight contest.

The Spartans only needed six minutes to score the game's first goal and that was the only goal needed to walk out with the victory. Junior Brad Neal was the first to a crossed ball by Ivan Dam from the left side of the field. Neal collected it and placed the ball in the top of the net over Redhawks' goalkeeper John Ciavaglia.

It was not a great offensive showing for Roberts as the team was doubled up on shots in the game 12-6 while only getting one shot on goal. The Redhawks were able to find success in possessing the ball in the central part of the field but were unable to capitalize on any threatening chances in the attack.

Roberts Wesleyan will look to get back on track next Saturday when they host the 4-4-2 Queens College Knights at 3:30 p.m.
