TONAWANDA, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's bowling team went 7-3 over the weekend at the Medaille Invitational placing third overall amongst six total teams. Sophomore Nicole Vary was also named to the All-Tournament Team with a 17.86 average in the baker style format.
 
On Saturday the Redhawks recorded a 3-2 record in the five game total pinfall baker format matches. Roberts defeated the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, 872-842, Hilbert College, 848-758, and Saint Vincent College, 744-741. The two losses came to Daemen and Medaille.
 
In Sunday's action the Redhawks won four straight matches before dropping the final match of the day to Saint Vincent. Sunday featured a baker format but with a best of seven series. Roberts took down Daemen to begin the day with a 4-2 win. They then blanked Hilbert 4-0 before going on to pick up 4-2 wins against Pitt-Bradford and Medaille.
 
Medaille took first in the tournament and Daemen placed second.
 
The Redhawks are now 9-11 overall on the season and will have a break until after the new year when they will travel to the KU Invitational on January 19 hosted by Kutztown University.
