MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's basketball team took down Saint Anselm on Saturday, 82-68 in the second game of a three game road trip to the northeast.
 
Necedah James was one assist shy of a double-double with 20 points and nine assists. It was the senior's game high for assists this season. Emily Miller finished with 17 points and eight rebounds along with a pair of assists and steals.
 
The Redhawks got off to a slow start allowing Saint Anselm to take a 27-16 lead after one quarter. But Roberts would lock in defensively for the remaining three quarters holding the Hawks to just 41 points while putting up 66 of their own.
 
Roberts' offense was efficient, shooting over 55 percent from the field while holding the Hawks to under 40 percent from the field.
 
"I was really pleased with our effort today," said head coach Gary Andrews. "We got balanced scoring on the offensive end and played excellent defense after the first quarter."
 
The Redhawks (9-4) will play the final game of its road trip on January 1 at Stonehill. Roberts fell to Stonehill at home on December 11, 75-63. Tipoff is slated for 1 p.m.
