ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan men's and women's swimming teams held their second home meet of the season on Saturday when they hosted SUNY Oswego. Both teams lost to the visitors with the men falling 189-27 and the women losing 154-67, but the Redhawks were able to set eight total school records in the process.
On the men's side junior
Joshua Moore set two program records in both the 50 yard free (25.34) and the 100 yard free (58.68). Senior
David Uhlman set a new record in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:15.24 and senior
Ryan Hardy posted a record time of 2:46.39 in the 200m breaststroke.
On the women's side freshman
Anna Vorderbrueggen set records in the 50 yard free (27.84) and the 100 yard free (1:03.25). Cami Perry swam a time of 1:09.60 in the 100 yard backstroke to set a program record and place first in the event.
Julia Barnwell posted a time of 2:55.24 in the 200 breaststroke to set the program record.
The Roberts swim teams will head into their final meet of the inaugural season on Saturday, February 3
rd when they travel to the Geneseo Invitational. The meet is being hosted at Erie Community College for a noon time start.
