WAYNESBORO, Pa. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's bowling team placed fifth at the Mount Shootout hosted by Mount Saint Mary's over the weekend.
The Redhawks started off slow on Saturday going 1-4 in traditional match play picking up the win against Coppin State with an 896-760 win. Losses in the day came to Howard, Morgan State, Mt. Saint Mary's and Mount Aloysius.

Emily Notebaert was named the tournament MVP after posting the highest scoring average during the traditional style matches. Notebaert had a 209.40 game average, over six points higher than the second place finisher.
On day two of competition the Redhawks picked up their game getting four straight wins including a win over the eventual tournament champions Saint Francis (Pa.). Roberts won the match 950-932 giving Saint Francis its only loss of the tournament.
Roberts is now 8-11 this season and will move on to the Medaille College Tournament on Oct. 27 and 28.
