Men’s Golf Takes Second At St. Rose Shootout

GUILDERLAND, NY – The Roberts Wesleyan men's golf team finished in second place over the weekend at the St. Rose Fall Shootout, hosted at Pinehaven Country Club. The Redhawks shot a team two-round total of 615(+47) coming in just behind first place Franklin Pierce University who shot a total 606(+38) for the tournament.
 
Senior Brandon Grzywacz shot the low round for the Redhawks with a 72 (+1) on Friday and a 77 (+6) on Saturday. Individually, Grzywacz tied for fourth place on the 6,506 yard, par-71 course
 
Some other notable performances from the weekend include rounds from senior Erich Spitz and junior Grant Brongo. Spitz took seventh place shooting a pair of 75's (+4) with a total of 150. Brongo tied for 13thplace shooting an 80 (+9) on Friday and a 74 (+3) on Saturday.
 
The next stop for the Roberts Wesleyan men's golf team is a trip to Watertown, Connecticut and Watertown Golf Club. The Redhawks will compete at the Post Eagles Invitational on October 8 and 9.
