PAINESVILLE, OHIO – The Roberts Wesleyan women's basketball team fell to Lake Erie College on Wednesday afternoon, with a final score of 76-60.
Roberts ended the day by going 25-for-60 (42%), 5-for-16 (31%) from three-point range, and 15-for-22 (68%) from the foul line.
Three different Redhawks ended the day by scoring in the double digits. Roberts was lead by
Emily Miller's 24 points and six rebounds. Miller also recorded two blocks. Senior
Taylor Bynoe finished with 12 points, nine rebounds, and six steals while Junior
Tashayla Sutorius had 10 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.
The first two quarters played out to be a battle as the Redhawks answered back on almost every point scored by the Storm, trailing by six at the end of the half. Roberts managed to battle back to within four points with 00:48 left on the clock but Lake Erie would end up taking advantage of last minute foul shot opportunities, taking the win by six.
Next up for the Roberts Wesleyan women's basketball team is a trip to Syracuse, NY as they go on to face Le Moyne College on Sunday, December 30. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 PM.
