ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Roberts Wesleyan women's basketball team rolled past Bloomfield College 85-48 on Saturday night.
Emily Miller was the top scorer for the second night in a row as she led the team with 16 points and was 4-for-8 (50%). The senior also had seven rebounds, an assist, block, and a steal. Sophomore Taryn Wilson was 4-for-4 from the three point range, had four rebounds, and two steals chalking up 13 points for the Redhawks.
The Bears were the first to get on the board but less than 6 minutes into the game the Redhawks were up by two points and kept control of the game ending the first quarter topping Bloomfield by 12 points. The gap between the Redhawks and the Bears was the widest after a layup from Samantha Volpe gave Roberts a 40 point edge.
The team was 8-for-66 (42.4%) from the field, drastically outshooting Bloomfield who went 18-for-74 (24.3%) and capitalizing on the Bears turnovers converting them into 19 points for Roberts.
