Women's Bowling Places Tenth at Golden Bear Classic

READING, Pa. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's bowling team took 10th place over the weekend at the Golden Bear Classic hosted by Kutztown University.

In Saturday's matches the Redhawks went 3-2 with wins against Caldwell, Wilmingon (De.) and Walsh. The losses came to Mount Saint Mary and Morgan State. The team sat in ninth place after the first day.

On the second day of competition the Redhawks kicked off the day with a win against Wilmington but weren't able to overcome Morgan State or Kutztown in the final two matches of the day.

Emily Notebaert continued her impressive play with a 20.9 pins per frame average. Notebaert was named first team all-tournament and had the second highest individual average in the tournament.

Roberts is now 26-21 overall and will travel to the Br. Pat Lacey Memorial tournament on Sunday, Feb. 17 in Greensburg, Pa.
