PHILIPPI, W.Va. – The Roberts women's lacrosse team continued its perfect start to the season with a 23-4 victory over Alderson Broaddus on Saturday morning.
Sophomore
Lindsey Brinkel led the Redhawks with six goals and one assist. The Edinboro transfer got off 10 shots to lead all players.
Roberts started off quickly with a goal from
Emily Tomei just 1:19 into the game. The Redhawks continued to pour on the pressure on offense with nine more consecutive goals to take a 10-0 lead before allowing a goal to Alderson Broaddus.
The Redhawks got off 44 total shots compared to just eight by Alderson Broaddus. Roberts held the Battlers to just eight total shots and only one in the second half.
Senior
Emily Knight stuffed the stat sheet with seven caused turnovers, three ground balls, three goals and three assists.
Roberts is now 4-0 and will hold their first home game on Wednesday against Lock Haven. Game time is slated for 4 p.m.
